Overheard

And this, fellow readers, is why Miss Cellania is probably the best writer we've ever had. A thing of beauty. -YesButNoButYes

...Miss Cellania who’s wonderfully funny and knowledgeable and also happens to write for Mental Floss. Her personal blog is updated as often as any multi-contributor blog site and has some wonderful gems... -Infinite Well

Miss Cellania has links, doctored-up photos staring Miss C. herself and YouTube videos from anywhere and everywhere on the internet. If it's funny, you'll probably see it first on her blog. -Suzanne Broughton

Miss Cellania has a site that is to die for. Whenever it’s time for a bit of a smile, interspersed with a gaffaw or two, I head on over there. -Compass Points

If you’re jonesing for more links you may want to visit Miss Cellania’s blog. Or should I say blogs. She’s like the blogosphere’s version of that Jamaican family from In Living Color. She has more blogs than they had jobs. If she starts contributing to one more blog I’m going to stage an intervention. -Cynical-C

I could never in a million years come up with half the wonderful facts, news, links et al that pepper every post she creates. -Mad Baggage

It’s a fantastic set of funny and interesting links, jokes and pictures that she compiled *every day*! -Neatorama

She finds the coolest, funniest stuff day after day. How on earth she does this I have no clue. -NYC Educator

I don't even know how I found Miss C, but I remember the first time I was there, I burned my chocolate chip cookies. I just couldn't stop browsing! Fun stuff over there. -Boomer Chick

If you're not regularly heading over and reading her well compiled, link-filled-goodness posts already, then maybe you should take a step back and do some self reflection and introspection to make sure your life is headed the direction it needs to be and that you're on a path that is fulfilling to you and your fellow man, as a person and as an American. -Hoodlumman

Funniest woman alive. -Pixie

It is quite possibly one of the most extensive sites I have seen for links to humourous content. It is a virtual encyclopedia for a myriad of different jokes on different topics and still growing. So a good site and worth checking out, theres definitely something for everyone, or anyone whos up for a laugh that is! -Mr. Joe Blog

BTW - you quite possibly put together the best, most well researched content on the web, bigtime kudos to you! -Anita B

One place I keep going back to is Miss Cellania. She really has it going on over there. Her posts are chock full of stuff I've never seen before, along with a few old favorites I had forgotten about. Anyone that can consistently come up with that much good stuff deserves kudos. -Blue Beaver Beer

Miss Cellania - is a great read, and there’s more than enough laughs to kill an evening with, on any given day. Miss C has her fingers on the pulse of every joke on the web that you haven’t seen yet. -Saskboy

(Funny, if a tad lowbrow) -Utopia Moment

Fabulous as usual..I appreciate all of the effort..and I am truly humbled. -Homo Escapeons

I'm not even sure why I thought her post is funny, but it is. That's all you're getting from me. Go read it. -konagod

YAY! Miss Cellania knows I'm alive!! -Fuzzy Dave

May's Best Links

blog_lg.gifMay was a tumultuous month, to say the least! I had my first date since becoming a widow (it was magic for me, he was dissapointed). I changed my site over to Squarespace, which was planned, but I didn't plan on it being so sudden when the old site froze. And I lost my job. But I always bounce back, because the alternative is just dire. In the midst of all that, I managed to find some pretty decent links, although it wasn't the best month for blogging. I'm glad the usual suspects stayed with me. I promise I'll try to improve the quality of the material here. The most popular post of the month was The Pillsbury Doughboy, thanks to the guys at Eat My Hamster. Blogging was pretty popular, but only because it was the last post on the old site, so everyone who came by since May 9th saw that first. The best response I got was from  Location, location, location. Everyone suggested I come live in their city! I don't think its so much that you want my company, but that you are proud of your chosen cities and states. Which is the way it should be! Once again, I will ask that you check your blogroll and make sure that my link reads http://misscellania.squarespace.com because I've seen a bunch who still have the old site linked. Thank you!

Here's hoping June is better. I'm sorry the date didn't work out, but am proud of you for getting out. There is someone else waiting for you to come along :-)

May was a good month for links! I'll take about 50 sets of paddles though! LOL

Have a great day and I hope you had a great weekend.

Whilst I'm always interested in being...linked...to you, MissC, I don't believe I passed along moonbutt...

Carl, I had wondered about that. Its one of those glitches that showed up in the html, your link but no explanation, so I made an assumption. I'll move that now.

If I checked out all those links I would need those paddles. Geez, Missy, ease up.

I have the hardest time finding you anymore! I can still find MS C. 1 & 2 though, but not much goes on over there any longer! Loved the MESNA (sic) sign! ~ jb///

Hoss, in the "Best of" posts, there are no links that I haven't already posted this month, so you've probably already seen most of them. For new readers, its an easy way to zip through the monthly archives.

JB, the original MC on blogspot is frozen, I can't post there anymore. MC2 is just a place to keep an index PLUS I've been using it to publicize this site. Right here at Squarespace is where I'm going to be!

Hello! I'm the odd bird who created the "Armageddon or Not?" site (as well as writing the "Top 5 Bad Clowns" piece for MSNBC.com which you also linked last month). I found your delightful blog via my referral stat obsession (you will be pleased to know you sent more eyes to my doomsday project than a couple better known blogs). You have joined my list of "people with less time on their hands who somehow cram a lot more into their blogs than I do", dang ya, and you can now count me as a regular reader. The images you've found to illustrate your posts are especially impressive (I'm definately going to steal a few). Now, why wasn't "Armageddon" among your recycled links here? Otherwise, you're funny and beautiful, and if you ever get out to the "left coast", I'll guarantee you a good time - by setting you up on a date with somebody else... Keep up the good blog.

"He was disappointed"??? That's all you're going to tell us??? Who is this ass clown???
05.30.06 @ 09:00PM | Unregistered CommenterSaur
Wendell, you made me blush. The only reason I didn't include Armageddon or Not is that I didn't know you'd come by! No, really, its hard here at the new site because I didn't have MyBlogLog set up til recently, to measure link clicks.

Saur, I'll only say this much-we are still in communication, even if we aren't communicating, knowhatImean?

But I always bounce back, because the alternative is just dire.

That hits home.
